'Warmth'

a poem written by Me.
Tonight,
for the first time, I felt warmth!
The palette of red, orange, brown, and yellow took over our bodies.
Blending,
like the sun's ray's in the sky;
like bubbles in water, where the only gap is air.
I want to breath your air, from those lips of yours that taste so right to me!
Odd to say, that if your lips were the last I'd ever taste I'd feel no regrets!
To think something so young can feel so tender.
I feel like you see through me when we hardly know each other.
Your eyes, They're promising; lovely!
You say mine are kind.
I look into them and I see crystal clear reflections,
as clear as what is happening!
You talk.
I shiver!
You kiss me.
I melt!
I kiss you.
You melt!
Together we melt!
Melting, melted like warm wax.
Tonight,
I felt warmth for the first time!
Tonight, I knew I wanted you to be mine!

OTHERS I WANT TO CATCH UP WITH

"I'm Baaaaaack!"

Lol it's been awhile guys, but I'm trying to make a little time to get a few blogs in! I just don't have the time I did a few months ago to just blog more often, I wish I did though, I've really began to enjoy expressing myself and showing off the things I like and my thoughts through here! Since I last blogged I've been through quite a few things, relationship wise, school, economical. You could say this year has been quite a stepping stone for me, I feel like I learned quite a few lessons sadly the hard way but at least they were learned and now I finally feel like I'm entering the next chapter in my life! I've realized I really want to focus on film, photography and fashion! I want to attempt working on all 3 as simultaneously as possible, it be a dream to direct, photograph, and design clothes! I realized why should I have to pick just one when I am so interested in all 3! I am going to go to school mainly for my film Bachelors but I want to save up and start making my clothes and hopefully soon by myself a more professional camera and start doing photo shoots. :) I think now more than ever I'm really just ready to embark on my future and focus on making something of myself and producing ART more than anything! That's my number one true love, art!

As for life right now, things are getting better! I just got news today that I was selected for a job I applied for a few weeks ago! I'm sooooo soooo sooo excited for that! It's going to be a big help enthusiastically, and financially, just what I needed right now to be able to focus more on what I want to be doing! :) As for my health, I recently had to go to the ophthalmologist because my right eye got red and swollen and at first it was thought to have been pink eye but once my eye swell up as much as it did and I went back they told me it was a stye outbreak, these nasty pimple like things that form within your eye lid, I used to get them when I was smaller, but after getting 3 removed three years ago I never got one again, until now that is! Luckily the doctor prescribed some antibiotic medication and ointment and its really healed it up beautifully, it's almost gone :) Thank god!!! The sucky part is that the pills are for the skin and make your skin sensitive to dark so I can't really get much soon and living in Miami and not getting sun is tough so I've kinda been hiding from the sun lately and I'm getting white as hell lol, now that I'm back to being a brunette and pale from my lack of sun exposure, I'm starting to look like I belong in a Twilight movie...lol which isn't technically that bad, those kids are banking some big bucks, no? lol...Now all I need is Taylor Lautner's abs ;P!! Haha! As for Romance, things haven't exactly worked out the way I had thought they would...unfortunately, but every failed relationship definitely has taught me a lesson, and a few lessons at that, like I always say "I would never take back dating who I've dated and experiencing what I've experienced, because the good and the bad has brought me to be the person I am today, having learned what I now know"! Wise words from Randy ;)! Now I may not be dating anyone at the moment but I am sure as hell moving forward knowing a little better what it is I want in a person! At the moment I'm pretty happy with how things have turned out, and I'm just excited to start making some clothes, working on some more photos and projects, working on the whole acting thing, writing down some short film ideas and making them happen, start working, have this eye fully heal up so that I can go out DANCING ^_^ and just ready to live my life, one step at a time!

for ya today ;). Take it easy guys!!

I Wouldn't Want To Listen To Anything Else.

Hey guys, I know I've been gone for awhile. Been busy with life! Lol, hadn't found the time to get on here and blog until today. I've been doing a bunch of job hunting and partying lol I can't complain, I've been enjoying life at every possible chance and just been doing a lot of growing up and introspection. But when I haven't been doing that, I've been working on my photography, I've been working out a lot more often (been jogging and doing pilates and exercising on my AirClimber, which is amazing by the way) and I even found time to bleach and dye my hair blond, going for a James Dean look...and with good reason ;) but that I will leave on the D.L. until when I've finished what I want to do and can show off my project for you guys to see!

So I figured I'd blog about music because I've spent all day today listening to music and lately I've found a few good artists who have stuck to me and become a part of my favorite's list. These being songs I could listen to over and over again....and I HAVE! lol I want to introduce them to you so that you can see the singers, songs, and music videos I am digging at the moment :). Here they are, I hope you enjoy them!!!

So I'm starting off the list with
Jack Peñate. Jack is from the UK ("I love me the british musicians!") and what I really love about him is how his music varies and has different sounds. I've heard a few of his songs and I've yet to find a similar sound among all his stuff! The two music videos of his that really caught my eye and ear were these two:

Tonight's Today

and Be The One.

Both unique yet very artistic and visually flattering, each music video provides a sense of entertainment and the songs provide great rhythm :).

The second artist on my list is coming to concert here in Florida next month, I am very excited to go see them because their soft tunes and New Orleans-esque sound has really grown on me! The band's name is Cat Power, you might remember the lead singer, Chan Marshall, from the movie My Blueberry Nights, which she co-stared along side Natalie Portman, Norah Jones, and Jude Law with. It was a small movie and it went at a bit of a slow pace, but the colors and cinematography of the movie were pretty stunning, if you haven't seen it yet, you should try checking it out if your into the indie, colorful, love, drama! lol As for the band, it was too difficult to pick a few good songs since most of their stuff is to me, pretty amazing! I stuck to three songs Lived In Bars, He War, and The Greatest (which the video is made up of clips from My Blueberry Nights), the videos are arranged in that exact order, here they are!

I Can't Wait! :)

Today I saw the new trailer for Pedro Almodovar's new film Broken Embraces (Los Abrazos Rotos) and like all of his other films it looks very dramatic, visually stunning, mysterious, interesting, wonderfully good, and of course Penélope Cruz has a starring role in it ;), but what else is new! lol I remember hearing about this film about a year or so ago, they had photos of Penélope on JustJared during the shooting of the movie and really it doesn't seem like that happened that long ago, but no, it's been a year already! How time flies!! And the movie has already premiered in Barcelona this March and at the Cannes Film Festival now in May. It promises to be as good as his other stuff "melodramatic, yet comical; artistic, yet real" that's what I love about him so much! But what makes Almodovar so relatable to me is that he writes and directs his own stuff and that is exactly what I aspire to do!

Watch the trailer in HQ (high quality)!

Broken Embraces is about an aging and blind film director (Lluís Homar) tells his personal assistant, Diego, about his life before the accident that left him in the dark, when he became embroiled in a torrid affair with aspiring actress Lena (Penélope Cruz). His story also involves Diego's film producer mother and a deceitful financier.

Imdb says the movie will be premiering here in the states on November 20th! But only in limited places, so I hope it plays somewhere in Florida :) I really want to go see it!!!

Romance Has A Special Place In My Heart!

I recently saw this video on Facebook through a friend and I couldn't help but steal it from him! It was so perfectly shot and put together! And even though it has no dialogue and it's a very short film, it has a perfect way of telling you just about the right things one needs to know to be able to understand it. The story plays out very mysteriously and sexy in, of course, France (one of the sexiest places in the world) and the detail of colors and the vintage feel of the settings just makes for a "magnifique" commercial!

How amazing would it be to fall in love with someone at first sight? Or to have an interesting story of how the two of you met on a train and then on a boat and lastly at a train station where he/she came behind you and kissed you on the neck?...ahh, so sexy! But reality is that life isn't a film, things wouldn't normally happen in real life the way that they do in films, if only! Because if so I'd be right there, on that train, awaiting my turn lol.

Well at least things don't happen exactly as story like as they do in movies, but I do have hope that when I meet the one, it will be in a very special and romantic way...call me optimistic! :) lol

"Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is.."

"...THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR WAKING UP IN VEGAS!!"
Woooooooh! I love me some Katy Perry :)

Aside from being really adorable and sexy, it is Katy's sultery voice and comedical lyrics which have me so fascinated and digging her and her music. Katy Perry totally owns my straight heart lol no doubt about it! I'm actually pretty upset to be missing her Miami concert this upcoming week. The other day they were giving away free tickets on the radio, all you had to do was text the word 'Katy' to the station, and I think I texted them about 10 or 15 times, but I had no luck hearing back from them :( then again I had just gotten to Dolphin Mall when I did that and I realized once I was leaving I had no reception what-so-ever while I was in there...so maybe I did win and I lucked out thanks to that good for nothing reception at the mall lol >:[ grrrr! Oh well, I hope I get to meet her one day, that would be awesome!!!! I actually have a friend who met her the other night at this night club, lucky her lol. I will hopefully one day meet her and collaborate with her on a music video or something ;) talking about music videos here's the reason I posted this blog, to post Katy's new music video (which I loved a whole lot) to her new single 'Waking Up in Vegas'.

The music video like all of Katy's videos is adorable and funny and it has a whole lot of Katy looking fantastic! :) Check it out guys! It made me wish I could take a little vacation to Vegas....Vegas Vacation ;)!

I Loved 'The Fall', You Should Watch It.

For about a year or so, I had been meaning to see The Fall after I saw the trailer for it last summer before seeing the movie the Curse of The Golden Flower. From the trailer, the movie looked pretty interesting, very colorful, artistic, and pretty! And even the cover photo for the movie case captivated me (I love surrealism) and it was very out there, here it is:

So yesterday I happened to see it at Blockbuster and I rented it, started watching it last night but fell asleep in the beginning before anything good happened and then woke up this morning and just rewatched it. I really liked the movie, I liked it aaaaaaaa lot! Even the opening credits (which were in black and white) got to me, the shots, the cinematography, everything was moving art to my eyes!! The movie is about a young stunts man in the 1920s who is stuck in a medical ward and be friends a young girl with a broken arm and together they begin to tell a story about 5 heroes who get banished by Governor Odious to an island and their story of redemption towards him. I'd describe it as an enchanting fairytale with truth to it, Very amazing!! Very mesmerizing!! You should all watch it :) here's the trailer, I hope it influences you all to go see it :).
P.S.--Watch it in HD, just click the button that says HD and your good to go! :)

>=) I'm So Jealous...

....lol, I was doing my often ritual of going on JustJared and reading about celebrities and there was a post about Josh Hartnett in Miami taking photos with a fan at the Miami International Airport. I have to say I felt pretty jealous, I wish that would of been me, I love the guy lol.....grrrr! I'll meet him one day gosh-darn-it or should I say josh-darn-it! :)

Here are some photos of Josh at the Miami International Airport!

I'm off to shower, still kinda filthy from fixing up my room yesterday, did the flooring and moved everything around to make the room seem more spacious, i took some photos today, I'll probably be posting them as soon as I get the chance.
Well I hope all those of you reading this have a wonderful Tuesday! Till next time guys :)

"You Never Were & You Never Will Be Mine"

I am LOOOOOOOOOOVING this song so much right now!!! Robyn is rocking my world lol, you know when you have a song that you just want to hear over and over and over again?...Well that's how I am feeling about Robyn's '07 single Be Mine. I first heard it yesterday while looking for Lady Gaga's acoustic Cherrytree Sessions' version of her songs, Robyn had also recorded some of her stuff with Cherrytree Records and the song happened to of been the first one on the list and from the second I heard it acoustically I knew I loved it! ^_^ Her voice has this uniqueness to it and the song's beats are very circa 1990s dance music.....maybe that's why I like it all that more? (I'm a huge 1990s dance music fan :) Rhythm Is A Dancer, Where Do You Go?, Sweet Dreams, Be My Lover...some of my all time favorite dance songs!!!) Well today I found the music video to the Be Mine song (gotta love Youtube) and it is definitely very throwback to the 90s, I love it! Can't stop listening to it :), So here's the video of the acoustic performance of Be Mine and the actual music video to the song! ENJOY GUYS!!!

P.S.---Doesn't it remind you a bit of the song Time After Time?...It kinda reminds me of it!

Coming Back To The Hills!

I haven't seen The Hills in about a year, I missed pretty much most of season 4, just lost interest in it, but after watching the trailer for season 5 (which starts tonight at 10pm) I really feel like I want to get back to watching this show, you see ever since Laguna Beach I've always had a guilty pleasure for Lauren :) I watched her through out Laguna Beach, lost interest in Laguna Beach after she left it, but was then sucked into The Hills the second it started and it wasn't until recently that I just stopped watching it, hadn't really made time to keep up with the show and its constant motion of betrayals and heart aches (which at one point became too much to handle, I just wanted to see all things clear up for my girl Lauren), but when I saw the trailer for season 5 and saw that finally most of the issues in Lauren's life might be set to rest I knew I needed to come back and watch The Hills for one last season, specially since it's going to be Lauren's last season! So here's to The Hills and good luck to Lauren, may this be a wonderful season and a great farewell for her from the show :).

'LoveGame' Music Video.

I just finished hearing and seeing Lady Gaga's new music video to her song (which I had never heard before) LoveGame! The song is very catchy, and the music video seemed pretty interesting, pretty sexual, and there is a scene with Lady Gaga and a female police cop that gets pretty hot lol. I saw some people comment about how she is going to be the next Madonna...is that true?...Well I don't really know. But what I do know is that the song is pretty good and here fenced glasses are very cool, I want me some :) lol, Here's the video! Check it out!!

April Fools....Or Not!

lol....So I painted my cellphone....and yes I do mean painted with actual acrylic paint! haha, Here are some pictures I decided to take of it last week before the paint started chipping!
I know, I know, I should of probably just bought it a cover but I felt creative and honestly I really liked how it came out I wish I was able to of sprayed it with a primer to of preserved the paint and kept it from chipping as bad as it has. Lol my friend, Michelle, really liked it too, she actually asked if I could do something similar to her Blackberry lol. Let's hope I can soon get a new phone or a replacement but in the meantime my little beat-up, paint chipping phone will have to do! :)

I Am Loving 'Living Thing'!!!

P T R BJ RN ND J HN
are musical geniuses in my book!

They're new CD titled 'Living Thing' really does suite the experimental sounds of their songs where you would really describe each song to be a living thing! They are all alive with beats, claps, sounds, and lyrics that at least keep me in a daze :) I love it! Good job guys, I definitely plan on going out and buying this CD and adding it to my small list of CD's I own (I mean, who buys CD's now a days?) and I would like to own it in Vinyl, I need a Vinyl record player first :).

Well I tried gathering some of the songs from the CD here so that you guys can have a preview! If you visit the band's Myspace page you can listen to the entire CD. Hope you guys enjoy the songs! Until next time!!

The Return Of DeGraw

I love Gavin DeGraw, he's got to be one of my favorite artists of all time! He's just so genuine and it shows through his music!! I came across this video today on Imeem and I had to post it up, I can't wait to here his new CD.

Here's one of his new songs from his upcoming CD called 'Free' it's called Stay.

I absooooooooolutely love it! ^_^
Enjoy it guys!!
Make sure to go get his CD March 31st! :)

What Is Going On So Far...

..Things are going pretty good for me so far! I mean, March has brought certain unexpected twists and turns to my life, actually you could say they were some what expected just not something I was wishing for! What I am referring to is the lose of the friendship I had with some good friends of mine, I somewhat saw it coming, I just wasn't expecting for it to come so soon. But with that said, I feel like I have mourned it enough, everything in life happens for a reason, I've always been one to say "you loose one friend and you gain three!" Meaning that life is full of changes full of opportunities to gain new friends when you've lost some old ones, life is a constant cycle and we shouldn't mourn for those whose friendships with us go down the wrong path but take it as a sign that we didn't have enough of a strong friendship to build a lasting relationship from! With that said, March has been bringing me some really good, fond memories! :) The Britney Concert was very amazing!!!

St. Patrick's day was pretty interesting, tried attending a Shoe fashion show with my friend, Stephanie, but little did we know the show started at 1 in the morning so we ended up having to leave early! I also had a shot by the name of Washington Apple at Flanigan's which was very delicious! Went to go see the Knowing (which was pretty interesting) and drove all the way to Pompano Beach all on my own xD which felt like quite an accomplishment! Got hooked on a show called The United States Of Tara on Showtime which is awesome and am currently enjoying the company of my uncle, aunt, and little cousin who moved to Miami from Canada. Things seem pretty good! I really can't complain, we'll see what else March has in store for me :)

"It's All Fun & Games Until Someone Loses An Eye"

I saw this short film on IFC (Independent Film Channel) the other night, It's about a guy and a girl who are always hurting each other's feelings that is until things escalate!

The name of the film is Spider, it's written by Nash Edgerton & David Michôd. Directed by Nash Edgerton. I posted it so you guys can check it out! Let me know what you think of it! I thought it was pretty insane...in a good way!

Welcoming March :) And All It's Wonderful Events!

The other day just playing music off my computer while Stephanie was here we came across a song that came with my computer by an artist by the name of Luciana Souza. Today I decided to look up some of her stuff and I was amazed, I really liked this woman's music! Who would of thought music already programed into my computer would be any good, but no her stuff is AMAZING!! I especially became very attracted to this song of hers called Waters Of March, it reminds me of Michael Buble, a female version of Michael Buble, very peaceful, sexy, and intriguing! :) Here is the song for those of you who would like to listen to it! I am loving it at the moment, listening to it as I type!

Waters Of March - Luciana Souza

Moving on to talk about March! So many good things are coming up for me in this wonderful month! The month is going to kick off with the Britney Spears Circus Concert which I am attending this Saturday with my friends, Alfredo and Vanessa. I am very excited about it, I even made us these designs for the shirts we will be wearing the day of the concert, I incorporated our names into some of our favorite Britney songs, Oops...I Did It Again, I'm A Slave 4 U, and If U Seek Amy.

The funny thing was that while making the shirts I realized I have always been spelling the word "oops" incorrectly X_x I've been spelling it "opps" with 2 p's lol I liked my opps though :( I've caught myself a few times trying to write opps instead oops since I noticed, and even though a part of me wants to fix it so that I write it correctly another part of me thinks its a cute flaw...haha..oh well!

As for the rest of March, I have Funkshion to look forward to, going to be going once again with my friend Stephanie and some other friends of ours. :) I look forward to the dressing up part and just being in the audience of these fashion shows from some famous and some up and coming artists! And also later on in the month I will be hitting up Ft. Lauderdale to check out AI, was there yesterday, and I really liked the environment and I've been thinking a lot about moving over there with Steph, I really want to do somethign like that I think I need that right now in my life, to move away and be on my own, providing for myself, beign the adult I am slowly gorwing into :) and Ft. Lauderdale would be an amazing place to do just that, the surroundings over there are very old school Florida yet they have their up-to-date hot spots as well and the beach is awesome!!! Plus it's not very far from home so if I were to get home sick, it's a short drive away, I can visit family and friends and be their quickly! So will see! March seems liek it will be quite the month for me, I'll try coming back when I get the chance to keep blogging about what's going on here and there, will definitely try and blog the day after the Britney concert let you guys know how it went. I hope you all take care and have a very safe weekend!!

The Oscars Blew Me Away!

I won't lie, when I heard Hugh Jackman was hosting the 2009 Oscars I was a bit skeptical about how they would turn out, not that I have anything against Hugh (I love him!), it's just normally the people who host the Oscars are top notch comedians or actors that are well known for their humor, so really I would of never paired Hugh with the Oscars, that is until I watched them tonight! I think Hugh was wonderful and that's coming from someone who sadly missed a big part of the show (I had forgotten they were on tonight lol). I enjoyed how he was able to throw his musical background into the mix and make this year's Oscars the most musically enjoyable to date! I especially enjoyed the number he did along side Beyonce, it was so qwirky and funny how they performed a ton of famous songs from musicals in a combo. I posted the best video I could find online of the performance below, enjoy it! :)

I was also very happy to see Kate Winslet win Best Performance by an Actress she deserves it so much! And her speech was so beautiful I love the way she expresses herself, lol and her father's whistle was hilarious! Here's the video of her acceptance speech...

THE WINNERS OF THE NIGHT WERE:

(Note to self: I need to watch The Reader, Doubt, Slumdog Millionaire, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Milk.)

My Picks For Fall Fashion 2009

WILLIAM RAST

Justin Timberlake's fashion line caught my eye this season because of its punk essence. I loved the blacks, the greys, the blazers, the acid washed and ripped jeans. But most importantly I loved the studded leather jacket, I want one lol and the shoes with the fringes are very very CALIENTE!!!! I would love me a pair of those too! :)

TROVATA

Trovata won me over with their green shawl peacoat looking piece, I absolutely loved it. I like how they layered their pieces even using vests and sweaters mixed with pants tucked into boots. I really love that look with the tied up boots, its very ME! lol

CALVIN KLEIN

Calvin did it up with full sophistication as always. Very sexy long coats and one colored suits. Some what 'Matrix-ish', Neo move out of the way, tehre is a new man in town and his name is CK. lol I really enjoyed these pieces specially the one with the nylon coat!

Z ZEGNA

As you can see I really liked Z Zenga. This was the first time I heard of this designer and I have to say I fell quickly Everythign from the hats to the coats to the jackets with the studs and the belted peacoat, the pants, and the suit where the top is all tucked away into the pants really caught my eye as something I'd like to rock! Good job Z Zenga, you have a fan in me!!
